Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee is responsible for development and support of legislation determined by OOPA to be in the public interest and to oppose legislation determined not to be in the public interest.

The committee advises the OOPA Board of Directors on legislative issues and makes recommendations for legislative action. The committee also develops legislative strategies which will enable Optometric Physicians to practice at a level commensurate with the fullest scope of their education, training and licensure as primary eye care practitioners.
