The Effects of Vision on Learning and School Performance

The Oregon Optometric Physicians Association created this 16 page booklet to help educators and parents identify children with visually related learning problems. Vision is a set of skills and abilities of which 20/20 eyesight is only one. This handbook is intended to assist and guide teachers and parents to recognize and understand the many vision problems that can interfere with school performance. It has also proven very effective in helping to describe problem areas to parents following a thorough optometric vision examination.

This handbook is dedicated to the many children who struggle to learn because of their undetected vision problems.
